Nicolò Abbattista, after his classical high school diploma, moved to Milan where he graduated from the Professional Academy M.A.S and graduated in Communication and Psychology at the University of Milan Bicocca.
In 2011 he founded the contemporary dance company Lost Movement of which he is currently the House Choreographer. In 2014/2015 he attended the 1st level Master in Entertainment, Business and Society at the University of Milan Bicocca.
In 2015, together with Christian Consalvo, he founded ArteMente, Higher Education Center for Dance, for which he is Artistic Director and teacher of contemporary technique, choreographic laboratory and History of dance.
In 2017 he was selected to participate in the Master of Choreography Choreographic Dance of the National Dance Foundation / Aterballetto, under the artistic direction of Cristina Bozzolini.
Since 2019 he has been one of the founders and Project Manager of Milano Dancing City, a project to promote dance and educate the audience recognized by the Ministry of Culture and supported by the Municipality of Milan and the Lombardy Region.
In 2021 he was selected for the Choreographic Master Next Generation Choreographer, promoted by the National Dance Foundation / Aterballetto under the artistic direction of Gigi Cristoforetti.
Since 2022 he has been in charge of the curatorship of the dance section of FLIC – Festival Lanciano In Contemporanea, a multidisciplinary dance festival recognized by the Ministry of Culture and supported by the Municipality of Lanciano and the Abruzzo Region.
In 2023 and 2024 he was selected as a choreographer by the National Dance Academy of Rome to create two choreographic pieces with students from the contemporary triennium within the RESID’AND project.
