Chiara Borghini, born in 1990, is a dancer and cultural operator. She began her classical and contemporary dance studies in Novi Ligure, participating in training events at the Teatro Nuovo di Torino. She attended the study program at the Académie de Dance Classique Princesse Grace in Monte Carlo (Excellence I degree) and attended, on scholarship, the two-year professional training program at the Scuola del Balletto di Toscana, directed by Cristina Bozzolini. Upon returning to Piedmont, she took lessons from Pompea Santoro and Veli Peltokallio in Turin.
Over the years, she delved deeper into contemporary dance languages, interacting with artists from prestigious companies such as Batsheva Dance Company, Vertigo Dance Company, Akram Khan Company, Nederlands Dans Theater, Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, Hofesh Shechter Company, and MIR Dance Company.
Concurrently, she graduated with honors in Humanities and Communication from the University of Florence and in Cinema and Performing Arts from the University of Turin, with a master’s thesis on contemporary dance and its audience in Italy and abroad.
She has worked as a dancer for various projects and companies, including Enzo Cosimi for the Opening Ceremony of the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics, Adriana Boriello for Amor, Oniin Dance Company (BO), and Chantry Dance Company (UK). She has also performed in artistic events such as Beat Kuert‘s exhibition Furor Corporis in Milan and the 10th edition of the Inchiostro Festival in Alessandria.
Since 2015, she has been a dancer with the Lost Movement Company and, since 2018, she has combined this role with that of Tour Manager and Promotion and Distribution Manager for the company.
Since 2017, she has collaborated with ArteMente, Higher Education Center for Dance, as a teacher, Assistant Director and Organizational Manager.
In 2019, she worked as a dancer for the Teatro Regio di Torino and the Shaanxi Opera House in Xi’an, China.
In 2022, she worked for the Corona Events company for a production in Jubayl, Saudi Arabia.
Since 2019, she has been one of the founders of Milano Dancing City, a project for the promotion of dance and audience development recognized by the Ministry of Culture.
In 2021, she co-founded Radic’Arte, a social promotion association dedicated to the dissemination of dance and the enhancement of the territories in which it operates.
In 2024, she obtained a certificate as a Cultural and Community Process Operator Through Dance, promoted by Filieradarte (Turin) with the support of the Compagnia di Sanpaolo Foundation.
