“Vissi d’Arte “is a selection of opera arias that meets contemporary dance to create a suggestive show, for piano and opera, which revolves around the figure of the woman, in its most intimate and deep shades. We don’t found an ordinary woman on the scene. But that woman who is fragile and strong at the same time. The woman who suffers; but doesn’t give up. The woman who lets herself be carried away by the impetus of hope and courage, despite the inevitable faith.
Thus the creation revolves around the figure of the woman, absolute protagonist of the traditional opera, and her more intimate and profound nuances, in an attempt to compare the experiences of the different chosen characters, with the emotions of the women of our daily reality.
A sequel of emotions, ranging from passion to despair, from rancor to trust, from resignation to love, which accompanies the viewer in a suspended world of images and experiences that intertwine and overlap.
A creation, in collaboration with the Soprano Antonella D’Amico, that celebrates the strength of women, faced with the difficulties of their condition. And here, in front of the inevitable, a comfort emerges, if not a way out: Art, and its power to make immortal what has been.
